Smart Parking - PCN, now threatening debt collectors

We received the above in August 2014 and stupidly just ignored it.
Hubby has just called me and a debt recovery firm are now demanding £120.
I've had a look at the newby sticky thread and I'm unsure if I'm too late to appeal?
Please could you advise? as hubby is pretty worried about it.
TIA

Debt collectors are also covered in the NEWBIES sticky. (Post #4 I think).0

Thanks
To be honest I find that thread quite daunting and as such, am more confused.
As the letter we've received is from Debt Recovery Plus, do I still ignore, as in the link?
I'm sorry if I'm asking stupid questions, just worried.

Please go back and only read post #4. Debt Recovery Plus are specifically mentioned.

Thank you.
I've clicked on the blue Debt Recovery Plus link and it takes me to Pepipoo, the same letter we received is there and being advised to ignore it?Challenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015Starting the savings for retirement :rotfl:

Yes, ...the advice about boring DRP letters is clear and we don't need any more **boring** threads about them (sorry but this is pointless discussing those letters). You already read the newbies thread where I BEG people not to start new threads about DRP letters, so you know that already. And read this too, please spare us any more stuff about those letters yet again (we get this 10 times a day despite the NEWBIES thread covering it and begging telling people not to post about it:
READ THIS BEFORE YOU START A NEW THREAD ABOUT ROSSENDALES or DEBT RECOVERY PLUS!
But as you read the NEWBIES thread of course you now know to 'appeal anyway' (LATE) to Smart parking on their website. The NEWBIES thread tells you to do that anyway so we assume that you have done that. Smart normally then cancel 2 months later, proved every week like here:

We do NOT want any posts about the silly letters from DRP and Zenith, but we'd be pleased to see an update from you when Smart cancel in 2015 after you send them the first appeal which you will have read on the NEWBIES thread already. Please don't copy if out here and ask if it's the one...so many people do that and it never ceases to amaze me ...aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhh!
You may think I am harsh, and sometimes I am - but sending the first appeal from the newbies thread online to Smart, late, works. And you were directed there straight away and should have read it first in any case, before posting. Anyone who pays Smart Parking is an idiot.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
