10 weeks for fuel switch excessive?

still waiting for my fuel switch to take place, is 10 weeks and counting excessive?

Going from Eon to British Gas, I keep getting the run around, BG say call Eon, Eon say nothing to do with them now?

Any rules on how long a switch should take?

Average is 4-5 weeks, some reckon they can do it in 3 days plus the 14 days cooling off period, so 10 weeks is ridiculous.
It's up to the gaining supplier to sort it out with your existing supplier, not for you to do the chasing.

10 weeks is a long time and I understand why you’re unhappy if you’re not getting an answer.

The switch should take up to 6weeks, but sometimes it does take longer if we’re waiting on information.

Have we said anything about the delay?

Our hands are tied a little, because it’s the gaining supplier who will need to chase this.
