Ebay return tracking number problem

Hi, any advice would be appreciated,
I had to request a return for an item that wasn't as described, the seller agreed and a tracked returns label was generated for me. I printed the label and returns slip, and posted back via the Post Office yesterday morning.......I got my COP with tracking number and correct address details.
I looked on RM track and trace this morning, and it says the tracking number doesn't exist, and also on the ebay page although I've put in the tracking number it's not showing as despatched.
I'm beginning to worry now, as with the tracking number I thought it should show at least that the parcel had been posted, and not that it doesn't exist.
What can I do next??? Please help

It was Royal Mail 48 Tracked, I'm just worried as it's not showing up on the system, it was posted before the last collection yesterday as well.
Although it should show up as being posted, maybe it won't track until it gets to a main depot, it just seems very strange0 -
Well what a strange service, up until 10 minutes ago the tracking number was still showing as not recognised, and it has now changed to delivered.

It's a business service. It isn't at all strange. The tracking for RMT has been down since last week, they are updating but very slowly.
You should be able to see the historic tracking at https://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails0
