Ways to use my lecky monitor

It will also support the Wattson transmitter but you've got to specify that at the time of ordering. It seems that the Efergy & Current Cost transmitter are similar as you can use either although I don't know if you can use both at the same time.
I have toyed with getting another transmitter as my heating is on a separate circuit to my other supplies (a carry over from when we had storage heating - we now have a heatpump) but I'm not sure how it would be displayed/recorded.
Ideally I'd like two separate graphs for each circuit and one for the total although I'm quite happy with what I've got as it's easy to work out what is happening once you've got used to itNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Thanks for pointing that out. I have a Wattson, so have treated myself to the hive hub. I also now have a heat pump, following a very sorry tale with unreliable gas boilers!
I can see your heat pump cycling on & off on the chart, yes?0 -
Yes that's it. The prolonged high level bit between 7-9am is the water heating (more than usual because the tank was cold due to the heating fault) and the castellated bit overnight is the dehumidifier cutting in & out. The high use around 11pm-1am is the dishwasher.
so you can get a good idea of what is using it by relating the consumption to the timeNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Thanks. Looking at your consumption / cost figures. Have you really got an electricty rate of about 10p / kWh?0 -
No, it's 11.053p per kwh plus 22p a day. which averages out at a bout 12p/kwh.
The software can only work on the info that I've given it and it doesn't know about standing charges.(I've just changed it to 12p)
It's not everso accurate anyway. Clamp on sensors can't accurately measure your consumption - mine works out about 5-7% high compared with the electricity meter.
My voltage fluctuates between 243-249 which adds to the inaccuracies and the heatpump has an inverter driven compressor and fans which probably plays havoc with the power factor as well.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Yes, all very good points. The voltage varies a lot here too, down to the amount of Solar PV locally I am led to believe. Changes between 238v up to 252v during the day.
Good unit price you have - electricity is more expensive in the SW, as is Water, annoying, but short of moving...
I'll report back when my unit has arrived. Thanks Dave0 -
Fitted my Energyhive today, but discovered my generation clamp has failed, so only showing import at the moment. Another job on the list.

Piece of cake to install. I opened the box and it practically fitted itself!0 -
cooo - that's impressive. Almost tempted to get solar panels just so I can get a display like that.
Have you asked EH if they can provide you with data downloads so you can import it into Excel?
ps - your heatpump looks just like mine:beer:Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

I have just emailed them - also asked how long the data is likely to be available on their website for, so will let you know when I get a reply.0 -
Stuff I've downloaded is still on their site since August - I download a daily log of the previous months consumption on the first day of the new month so I get 30 or 31 entries (they sit on their site as individual files). I tried it for the hourly log but it's not sensible unless you do it on a daily basis unless you want to save 24x31 entries every month.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
