What if I reply to the negative with either:

This is not correct please read my feedback 10 years and this is first negative.

    or

Please read the other feedback I have 10 years and this is the first negative.

Oh and the funny thing with ebay is they have said three times now in chat that they would find in my favour based on what I told them.

But then again I do not trust ebay 1 bit.

If the one negative in ten years will not affect sales I will leave it however would appreciate peoples thoughts on this.

It looks unprofessional to me plus a 10 year record doesn't mean a complaint isn't valid (not saying the buyer's is but you see what I mean).

It's usually best to to leave it for a few days and then reply.

Rule 1 of selling on eBay, don't trust a word eBay say!

Any other suggestions as to what to put in response to the bad feedback?

seller sold me a faulty blu ray they knew was faulty but would not refund

State the facts. Say some films don't transfer as well as others or whatever the facts are.

In a calm and dispassionate way you're effectively saying the buyer is talking nonsense.

Why not offer a refund upon return? If accepted, fine, you've lost a few quid maybe.

If not accepted, you can say in your rebuttal what the facts are then 'refund offered but not accepted' or some such.

Don't say the buyer is wrong: state the facts so future buyers will draw their own conclusion: "everyone gets an idiot buyer from time to time".

I'm beginning to think you might be a business seller, the suggestion you have more than one of them for instance. In that case I suggest you accept the return and refund, regardless of what eBay have promised you.

Media products unsealed by the customer are exempt from the right to cancel so the only legal obligation due is when a manufacturer's fault is present which this isn't really, it's just how the product is made.

In my experience, Ebay normally only remove feedback if the buyer makes no contact first or if you resolved the problem. If they contacted you first and you refused to resolve then its unlikely Ebay will remove.

If I was you I'd leave a factual response along the lines of the fact you can not be held responsible for the quality of the disc and move on.
