Afternoon all,
So pleased to have my tablet back in working order, DS3 has shown me how to fix it when it has another hissy fit, so a happy bunny.
Ruby......just realised about your little dog, big hug from me.
Sistercas.....thinking of you over next few tough days.
judi....good on you for spending a biton yourself, you deserve it.
Made my Christmas cake today.....it looks ok, its a Nigella chocolate fruit cake which I made last year, it went down very well xo thought if it aint broke dont fix it. Have not so far been able to get the rolled out fondant icing I used last year, a Dr Oetker product which I got in Tesco, they dont have it this year, bit disappointed as it was so easy, might ask DD4 to do something with it, she is good at tnat kind of thing.
Hoping to finish very long cable scarf I have been knitting for what seems like ages, another pressie done, need to get most things done before I go into hospital as not sure how mobile I will be when I come home.
enjoy the rest of your weekend everybody

Big ((((Hugs)))) sistercas xx
Went down to Morrisons this morning to use the £5 coupon that was in the sun got 25lbs potatoes, 2 stalks brussels, 2 x 500g bags parsnips and a bulb of garlic, all it cost me was 1pso the £5 has gone into the coupon pot, plus I won £40 on a lotto card yesterday :j
I will use one stalk of brussels for the week, the other will be frozen and so will a half a bag of parsnips for Christmas day. Hopefully I will have enough room in the freezer to enable me to preroast some of the potatoes to use for Christmas day and squeeze them in as well
If I keep this up, not only have enough for the mobility scooter, I will get my new bathroom suite by the middle of next year as well :j
Had a bit of excitement this afternoon,I thought that the police helicopter was a bit low it was so loud, but it turned out to be the air ambulance which landed on the school field behind the house and it was there for over an hour, I don't know where they were needed but a police car whisked them off somewhere.
Glad to hear Docky is back to his lovely self Mrs L
We have roast chicken for dinner with kale from the garden, parsnips, roasties and carrots.

Lol - it was fun
my friend treated me as a Xmas present - £10 for front row seats  dinner and a drink - I avoided the sausage in a basket tho :rotfl:
Haven't been bingo in years, its very techno now - you can play on a tablet. Apparently this bingo hall does loads of special nights, well now I am a member..........0 -
Evening everyone.
Had a lazy day today. Dh cooked brunch(bacon and eggs) and dinner, Spanish chicken stew which he served with pasta, it was very tasty. I just put the pots into the Dw. Uniform for ds2 ironed.
Yesterday went into London with ds2 to the Museum of London on Jackie O recommendation, we had a fab few hours, then took the tube to see the Christmas tree and lights round Covent Garden. I met Paddington Bear at the museum and made Ds take my photo with him. We had a lovely day.
Today we went to meet in laws for a lunchtime drink then came back to watch village lights being switched on, they look lovely.
Sistercas (((hugs))) to you and your family.
Essex girl - sounds like a good night out.
Day off tomorrow having a hair cut and colour to get rid of the badger look. I am trying somewhere new so hope it looks ok for my interview on Tuesday.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.0 -
