Trouble accessing IE/Firefox

in Techie Stuff
since installing my d/link router i keep getting this problem.
when switched on pc connects to the router straight away(most of the time anyway), but what continues to happen is i cannot access ie or firefox.
For instance last night i was using pc on the internet no problem. i logged off my wife logged on but could not access ie or firefox kept getting message could not find this page(or words to that effect). I then logged on no joy for me either. I tried for about 1 hour.
Today we have no problem. Any ideas please
If you ask me to do anything type it in very easily to follow instructions:rolleyes:

How are you connected to the router? Is it connected wireless or are you connected by ethernet cable? and how did you set the router up?
My D-Link router came with and quick installation wizard cd which sets every thing up for you but when setting up you must be connected via the ethernet cable.Don't listen to the bad things about Vista its the best :beer:
