Hi folks,
I have noticed that the refresh rate on cheaper led TV's are 50hz and wondering will this make a big difference to my viewing experience should I buy one of these TV's?
Thanks a lot for any info.

It will make a difference if you watch a lot of sport or fast moving movies....Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

For most viewing it'll make no difference. The signal you're watching is 25/50 frames/fields per second. A higher refresh rate will benefit some games systems, but by and large it's an indicator about the internals of the TV. For instance 'alloy wheels' don't mean a car will be fast, but do suggest it's likely to have been tuned up more than a bog standard runaround.0

UK TV is broadcast at 50Hz, so no, it won't. The higher refresh rate sets have to guess what goes on in between (eg a 100Hz set would be inserting 1 frame in bewteeen, but it's a bit more complicated than that) and for fast moving stuff (for example, sport!), this can actually make it worse!
This is not one of the stats you should be worrying about when buying a TV.0
