Saving for my Granddaughter

I know this has probably been asked thousands of times, so I'm sorry to bring it up again.
I have recently become a grandmother and I want to start putting some money away for my granddaughter. What would be the best thing to do, it won't be thousands of pounds but birthday/christmas money. I would like it in something thats not too easy to access, that way the parents and/or myself can't get to it!
Savings account/Junior ISA???
Thanks
Lynn

If the parents open a JISA for the child, you can contribute.
