Belle Vue Dog Track question.

Has anyone ever had a meal in the restaurant at Belle Vue on a race night?
Im stuck for what to get the other half for Xmas and know he would like to go. We went once before and he loved it (but I wasn't so keen). However, we were in the 'stands' side and the food there was fast food and I found the place a bit grubby.
They advertise a package - entrance, meal, reserved table. programme, a runner to put your bets on etc-. Its £30 a head but doesn't give any details of what the food menu is.
Im just wondering about getting 2 tickets and putting a bit of betting money in a card for him but Im just a bit dubious about the restaurant.
Any one been that give me an opinion, I would be grateful, thanks.

Thank you so much for the reply. That's pretty much what I feared. As I said, we went once about 4 years ago and I wasn't impressed at all but he enjoyed the night. I though maybe it was a nicer experience in the restaurant.
I shall think of something else, your advice is much appreciated.0 -
If he likes dog racing take him to horse racing. You're close to several decent racecourses e.g. York, Chester.
Get two tickets for the county stand at york (between £20-£30 each). Get dressed up and enjoy yourself.
It's very nice, a much better crowd and in the county stand everyone tends to be a better class of clientele.
Always a good day out.0 -
Thanks for the suggestion. We do go to the races now and then as we live near Haydock racecourse.0
