Fuerteventura - transfer from airport to hotel and back

Options
We'll be flying LGW-FUE next year using BA Avios and have booked our hotel independently. We'll be staying at the Fuerteventura Princess Hotel (Pajara/Jandia) and need a transfer from the airport to the hotel. In the past, we've used package tours and car rental (for the North) but don't really want a car this time as we could be looking for the hotel in the dark.

Searching online, there are several alternatives at different prices, from taxi, minibus to coach. Taxi = expensive, coach = time consuming, especially if we are among the last to be delivered, I assume.

Can anybody recommend a satisfactory operator for the two of us? Thanks.

Try asking your hotel. I go to Fuertuventura about 2-3 times a year and my hotel arranges a taxi both ways for me, and I pay the hotel direct before I go.

I stay in Corralejo and a taxi both ways that is there to meet me costs me around 80 euros. I'm sure the hotel takes a cut of that, but it is so nice to just turn up and get met by a taxi that even takes our luggage to save us wheeling it through the airport.

Some companies offer a 'speedy shuttle' which is basically the coach but with less stops. I know ResortHoppa do it as we used them in Corfu, they will do a maximum of 4 stops including your hotel so should be quicker than the normal transfer coach.
Resorthoppa usually offer cashback via Quidco too, as do quite a few other transfer companies so might be worth looking to see if anyone else offers speedy transfers.

A normal trasnfer coach to Jandia might stop in Caleta de Fuste or even Costa Calma on the way but I would think the speedy transfer would go straight to Jandia.

I don't think you will have any difficulty finding your hotel in the dark, especially if you look it up on google earth beforehand. Perhaps a car needs reconsidering - you could have a car for 4 days at least, for the price of a taxi.

The hotel can usually arrange something for you, far easier than trying to DIY as you know for sure they'll be there, waiting, and *know* where the hotel is, etc. Yes, you could probably save a fiver here or there, but part of being on holiday for me is not worrying about having to find transfers/haggle with taxis/guessing the hotel etc after a poor night's sleep and flight!

(This was especially handy in Essaouira where the accommodation was an unmarked door deep in the medina arriving late at night - transfer guy walked us through windy lanes right to the door!)

I've booked transfers through Travel Republic before and they give you the option to go with the cheaper longer coach trip or a private shuttle. Never had a problem and have used them for lots of different destinations.
