British Gas Homecare Agreement Hassles

I don't know if any one else has had the same problem but today I just came off the phone after a screaming session with British Gas.
Basically as a loyal customer of over 20 years standing with both Central Heating and Appliance cover I decided to upgrade my boiler to a Worcester Bosch model as the old Baxi was inefficient and parts were scarce.
I informed British Gas of this fact saying the Boiler was under warranty and can come off cover for at least a year but as the rest of the system remained untouched that needs to be covered.
Now the Renewal has come with a much higher price - I expected it to be a little more but not a steep increase. I phoned them up.
Cue over an hour of argument - they have now unilaterally decided - without so much as a letter - to discontinue only covering part of a CH system. I mentioned that the boiler had a 5 year warranty but still wanted the Annual Service plus the rest of the system covered. The obtuse 'Customer Care Adviser' mumbled some guff about 'The Financial Conduct Authority is not allowed to Double Insure' - whether this is true I do not know. So I said 'Disregard this - just keep full cover then as per the old boiler'. He said this cannot be done!!!
Cue another half an hour of me complaining that Customer Care Advisers should offer solutions and not create more problems!!!
The original boiler installers (not BG as their prices are a sheer rip off) do not insure CH systems (maybe because it is a regulated industry??)
So what to do next?
