Credit File Query
Options
I'm hoping I can get some help on this. Our IVA started in July 2008 and the final payment was made in January 2014. We've recently received our Certificate and are now in the process of sending this on to the credit reference agencies.
On checking our credit files all but 2 of the entries have dropped off as they've gone over 6yrs; however, the remaining entries are dated April 2009 and are still showing as a Default. I'm assuming that these dates reflect the time of our debt being sold on but we're concerned that this will affect our attempts to start building our credit file so ask what, if anything, we can do to get the info corrected or, if possible, removed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated because we thought this was all over & could actually start looking at rebuilding but now we're not sure.

The amend the letter here:

to reference the IVA rather than a bankruptcy, as explained in the first link.
Your remaining creditors should then on receipt amend the default dates to that start date of your IVA or earlier, ensuring that they clear off your credit file within 6 years of the IVA as well.
If the don't or refuse, as per the link take them to the ICO and FOS as a complaint.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

yes they have to amend it, once they get that certificate, if they haven't then contact them and state you sent the cert. and tell them they have to amend their info relating to your credit file and the credit agencies when they get your cert will amend your file where they can too. they ere brilliant with me when getting my ex removed off!0
