Which complete system would you buy?

I really hope someone can help, my sister doesn't have a PC and has asked me to look on line for a good deal for her.

I'm totally baffled Can anyone recommend a good desktop with tft monitor? She wants to spend upto about £400. I have looked at Dixons but they loads at that price and I'm not sure which brands are any good.

i got mine from pc world and...prices for ordering online tend to be cheaper - mine was £100 cheaper ordering online than walking into theshop for it and.....i could walk in an hr after ordering and collect it anyway.

My pc ended up costing £400 andits a packardbell with 20in widescreen. i'm pleased with it.

I know this isn't a full system but all you need to do is spend another £100 on a tft screen(with built in speakers) and it's a full p.c .

It'll be used for general use (no gaming), just for the web etc;)

Check out Dell. There are regular posts on the 'quick grabbit..' forum and over on www.hotukdeals.com for the best bargains.

Also keep an eye on www.dmxdimension.co.uk as they have the links to the best Dell prices too.

Trust me, 1 gig of RAM is not alot when running Vista. After you've installed a decent virus scan, you can only do a few tasks at once. I'll probably be upgrading my Acer L100 to 2 gigs of RAM for the extra 60 quid.
