I wouldnt wait for him to repossess the flat before getting back my furniture I'd get it back now
Otherwise he could sell it to landlord or use it to barricade the door, if hes malicious enough he could even destroy it just to spite you0 -
Hi lonestar1.
I'd love to repossess my belongings now but I can't just walk in and take them. The police have told me that it would be my word against his as to who owns what.
I can't sneak in and take things when he's out either as he changed the locks several months ago."The problem with Internet quotes is that you can't always depend on their accuracy" - Abraham Lincoln, 18640 -
I just had a thought: right now I'll still be held liable for any damage the ex does to the flat.
Can I insist that the landlord carries out an inspection or appoints somebody to do this for him? If an inspection discovers no current damage and later down the track new damage is found I'd be able to prove that it was done after I left."The problem with Internet quotes is that you can't always depend on their accuracy" - Abraham Lincoln, 18640
