I wouldn't have minded if the complaint was for profanity, loud music etc, but the complaint from our next door neighbours was:
They're talking to each other, and not about work
Well, who would have thought it. Talking to your colleagues eh ? Ridiculous

Not concentrating on the job? Unforgivable , I'd sack them straight away!!!
Who knew that builders could talk about anything but work..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Considering what you're paying for building work, spend an extra £35 on a bunch of flowers, bottle of champagne and box of chocolates - then give them to your neighbours thanking them kindly for putting up with the building work and generously feeding back to you about their progress.
Tell them you've had a word, and although they'll keep talking, you've asked them to drown it out with lots of loud drilling/distorted Heart FM.0 -
My OH has had someone complain at him and his work mates talking whilst on site. The 'lady of the manor' (very wealthy woman who has had it all handed to her on a plate, never worked a day in her life) complained to her husband that the builders were making too much noise chatting away. Needless to say, OH and others told her where to shove it.0

We seem to have constant building work going on around us, always in the summer when we want to sit out in the garden. As well as the expected building work sounds (often well into the evening), we have to listen to their constant music on the radio which they seem to need to have on very loudly. They sing along too!! They shout, they have loud conversations on their mobile phones etc. etc.
Would I complain? No, not at all, I am sure when our extension was built (before our time), plenty of noise was made. It is just part of modern day life. Irritating at times, yes, but no point in complaining.0 -

Oddly, the noise of building work around me actually relaxes me! Especially if theres people talking, and I can listen in.
Maybe its because I was brought up living by a major London road and now live out in the sticks....0 -
Apologise to them immediately but assure them that once the new business ,holiday kennel block for dogs is built things will improve..
