A&M Insulations/warmfront

please proceed with caution and be very careful if your have are having your loft insulated with a warmfront grant and they send around a comany called A&M Installations from St Helens. I must point out that there was no problem with the work they did . However I think that the measure of a company is how they deal with things when they DO go wrong... Unfortunately one of the installers put a foot through my bedroom ceiling - now this was quite obviously an accident and I was reassured that A&M Insulations would make good the damage that was done. Accidents happen and I wasn't overly anxious. I write now 11 weeks down the line. After 2 lots of dodgy plasterer my bedroom went from worse to dreadful - it's been a nightmare and been necessary for us to move out of it whilst I had to arrange for it to be completely redecorated. Very long story and sure no-one wants boring with all the details but the reason I write is that I have been left with a black mark on my carpet which didn't come out after cleaning. A&M insist that their responsibility ended with having the carpet cleaned and that fact that the mark has not come out is basically tough luck. If I had known that trying to save a few quid on my heating bills would set me back the cost of a new carpet I would never have bothered and would hate for anyone to have to go through the past weeks of calls & stress and end up in the same boat. It sounds obvious, but I was trusting & naive enough to trust them that my property would be returned to the same standard as it was before they entered my property. All I would say is that if they are sent to you, please proceed with extreme caution and if any damage is done, as can sometimes be the case, get full reassurances, in writing as to what standard any repair work should be completed to..... please don't take for granted anything that is verbally agreed, it is unlikely to be honoured. I am about to write to Warmfront as I just cannot comprehend how or why I should be out of pocket or be left with a dirty carpet - don't suppose anyone has had the same problem and can cheer me up with a successful outcome story can they?..
