Selling on an old WinME PC

I've just ordered a new laptop, as my PC isn't capable of some of the things I needed it to do and a techy friend of mine said he'd thrown out computers more powerful!

I was wondering whether it would be worth selling on, and how. It runs on WinME, only has 120mb RAM and 15gig hard drive - but it works for connecting to the internet, word processing etc. I don't think it would sell on eBay, and I'd be happy to FreeCycle it but it would be nice to get some money back toward my new laptop as it still works. What's the best way to sell old equipment?

I would stick it on Ebay, you would be surprised how much you will get for it.

I have a computer still running Windows Me!

It depends if you want to constantly be keeping up with the Jones's - as soon as you buy a computer it is out of date. They will be constantly bringing out a new version of something or other just to keep you buying.
