Property Services Charges

When we purchased our house (2005) we were informed that a condition of purchase was to pay an annual charge to Kingston Property Services to maintain communal areas. As the charge was small we never thought anything about it and signed.
Over the years we noticed the charge gradually increase but never actually saw any maintenance work being carried out. I challenged the charges a couple of years ago and was told that it was legally binding and any debts would be chased aggressively.
I have just received the Invoice for 2015 services and the charge has again increased. The main contributor is management fee £74 of the £150 total.
Is there any way of leaving this contract? Has anyone else related experiences?
thanks

Afraid it will probably be a covenant in the transfer of the property to you - no easy way out of it.0

Have you asked them what work they have carried out, they would have to provide the information.0

Do the deeds not allow the residents to form a committee to decide on who the managing agent should be? (In Scotland we call them Factors).0
