alpha boilers

Are Alpha boilers any good, cheap from plumbbase, with 5 yr warranty?

  • I replaced my previous boiler which was an Alpha (which was around 10 years old and still working fine). I replaced it with the a Vaillant and am very happy with it. Comes with a 7 year warranty too, if serviced by a Vaillant registered engineer every year.

My gsr installs them all the time and can offer a 10yr warranty on them.
That's how confident he is with them :)

  • The heating engineer/Mate of mine swears by Alpha's and also Vaillant boilers. I would imagine different HE's like different boilers for various reasons such as ease of servicing,PCB faults etc.

Its a bit like tool brands some guys/girls like Makita others like De-walt, I like Hilti.

Metal frame that the boiler is mounted on where you pre plumb the pipework. It includes a cyclonic type filter which gives you the extra two years warranty. T's & c's apply as always 😉

I agree with leveller2911, every heating engineer will have a preference of what he installs. Personally I do not and never have liked Alpha boilers and normally fit Vaillant or Worcester boilers as the quality of the product I believe if far superior. But then that is only my choice.
  • It's cheep for a reason, they leak like sieves and there are better made boilers around for an extra £100 or so

Try to stick with a Worcester Bosch or Valliant if you can
