Everyone is doing really well. Remember it is all extra, even if it is only a few pounds, it is more than you had at the beginning and I am sure it is helping you all with bits and pieces, I know it is for me.0

I know you have been quiet - even your diary, hope all is well with you and ATS x0 -
£50 paypal payment from SBs & £6 voucher used at MrTsJan £10 a day £326.75/£3100

More to add: £50 for coaching plus £28 profit for Ebay sales. The only things that sold of the nearly 20 items I listed - none of my clothes sold - has anyone else found this recently ? or is it just me? I started most of them at about £4.99 - wondered if I'd started them too high? It's been a while since I've sold on eBay.
Good Luck everyone !! Thanks for your support.Shifting my energy for 20200 -

I was taking part in the £2014 for 2014 challenge and just realised i have smashed my target. I am doing the facebook challenge for 2015.
oh and another £3 facebook sale.
Have told OH I will box everything up that is in the living room and try to sell it off after new year, he will put it in the loft for me, and then I will do a box at a time or try and sort into some sort of piles, ie games, clothes, and maybe carboot, found out a local indoor carboot sale has been revived. I can't go this sunday as DS has a party that starts early.
Am determined to get rid of all the clutter once and for all. some stuff I have had for a few years and only just managing to sell it off now.
I think I will have to be ruthless. ie give it a month and if it don't sell then it goes to the charity shop or a local refuge - if kids clothes/games, etc
Although I need the cash, no point sitting at home with loads of stuff that makes it look messy and not selling. I find nowadays even facebook is saturated with sellers and even trying to sell stuff for a £1 isn't working. people want a bag full for £10.
it would be nice not to walk into every room and think eurgh... at this still sitting here, that sitting there... etc.
maybe a big declutter will open up new opportunities for me.0 -

That's a great comment, Aesop, I hadn't thought of it that way. I tend to 'beat myself up' because everyone seems to be making so much more than me (and doing it in record time too). I should remember that without the focus that this challenge has given me I would have made hardly anything.
Thanks very much for making me see sense:T0 -

when I first started this challenge many years ago, I used to think how is everyone making all that money, i was lucky if I achieved £5 a month.
But then I started to think about it - the extra £5 I made in cash this week helped pay for my son's afterschool activities. That meant £5 I didn't have to find out of my wages.
That £2 there, helped me buy birthday cards - cheaply of course from card factory, but again saved me having to scrimp from wages.
Those coupons helped me save money on my food shopping, meaning we could maybe have a treat this week instead.

I can understand your predicament, I find pricing a real trial:(.
I know people advise starting at a low price so as not to put buyers off but if you start off too low you'll have to sell at that price if there is only one bid:eek:. Someone I know who sells loads on eBay always starts her items off at the minimum price she's willing to accept. No good giving things away.
Maybe it's just a bad time for selling clothes on there at the moment, people might have their minds on other things so near Christmas.
Good Luck:beer:0 -
Thanks for the advice carbootcrazy - I did wonder whether it was just a bad time for clothes.
I think your friend has got a point - if they sell too low to be honest I would prefer to give them to a Charity Shop - it's where I get most of my clothes and nice to give back. I think I'll go for the option of trying to sell at what I'd be happy with then donate if I don't sell - Good to have a plan :-)Shifting my energy for 20200
