  • Hi everyone. I've never done this challenge before but am planning on joining in January. I was just wondering how everyone counts overtime? Do you count it as you do it, or when you are actually paid for it?

I am just wondering since by the end of December I will have done £156 worth of overtime, but I get paid on the 2nd of January, so that would be half my target for January met on the second day of the month, without actually doing anything that month.

I think I would rather count things when I get paid for them though. It seems to make more sense to me that way.

£10 amazon from nielsen mobile rewards - just managed to order a second present for my DS for free using free vouchers earnt for amazon.

I got his first present free thanks to 02 priority.

But what I have just ordered from amazon is specifically what he has asked for, but much cheaper on amazon than in the shops!

I love free sofa shopping :D

Hi, :hello: what a lovely user name :)

Yes, it is best to count it when you actually receive it, as a lot of us do surveys and other money making sites, where payment may not come through for a while so, yep count it when you get it!

And it doesn't matter if it half your target met for January, on the 2nd. You can still continue to make money throughout January and see if you can make the same as your overtime. Doesn't matter if you don't, but a nice little challenge for you. :)

Thanks emmaglet & upsy I think I'll give it a go nothing for me today. I had a nasty car accident on Friday so I'm taking it easy this weekend. I've been extremely lucky just to have whiplash but it looks like my car is a write off

Thank goodness it is *only* whiplash (put asterisks as feels wrong saying only, it can be blumming nasty!)

    How scary! Xx

I also count it when I physically receive it, same for vouchers etc :)

£8 facebook sale - i just realise how much stuff I have when I went to dig out some other items she might be interested in !:eek: seriously need for it all to go!

can understand now why OH gets so upset with me.

    £2.25 from quidco click snap
  • Thanks everyone. :) I will count it when I get it. Pay day can't come soon enough.

And I am looking forward to joining this challenge next month. I am already earning on a few survey sites, but it would probably motivate me more to have a target to reach. And I need as many pennies as possible right now since I have a lot of stuff going on in the first half of 2015. :)
