Well, that was a mixed bag of a day .
I weighed my 4 tins (8.549kg/18.8 lb),spent 2 hours counting, recounting, getting myself in a muddle. When I looked at the clock,it was 3pm-I was supposed to have picked up my kids at 3pm!!
So I very quickly packed up all my bags of money, and tins of un-counted money.
Later I tried to continue counting, but kept getting distracted.Tonight we went out,so it was only after kids went to bed I could get back to it.
Kept adding up,kept getting different amounts, started again......And all the time didn't think it was right-it was as if I was missing a pot 017.gif.I am not:I had a minions pot for £2 coins,a cakes pot for £1 coins, and retro sweets pot, then a chocolate tin for the rest. All present and accounted for,and contained a pleasing amount of notes.I thought over the year I had potted larger amounts than I obviously had. If it wasn't for the £129 I had transferred from my Paypal (for Pinecone surveys),I think I would have cried :o
    Anyway,I am not tooooo disappointed-just surprised,that's all.
I don't have any immediate plans for the money.Tomorrow I will bank it,but what I would like to do when I get time to research my options,is change banks, taking advantage of a switching bonus, and higher interest (eg Halifax pays £5 a month but you need to put something like £700-800 a month through the account-so planning to use the money to pass through an account-maybe even a couple).
    Anyway,declaring £651.10 for SPC 8 :j:money::T

The only reason is that I was also part the £365 Xmas 2015 challenge which I completed last month so I bought my presents with this money so dont need the pot food for this otherwise I would bank it and use it towards christmas.

Potting it back into my bigger pot will mean I dont spend it and the bigger pot gets fed as I think this one holds £3k in gold coins, when I fill her up it can go towards my Australia fund as Im wanting to dive out there (crossing my fingers I will be able to get back under the water as I haven't dived since before my hip replacement, but its a goal)

After all the big one is going to take me an age to fill anyway probably at least 2 more years of Sealed Pot Challenges :-)

Saver-Upper, This is correct but you only have to pay £750 into the account then you can take it straight back out again, or if you are struggling to fund £750, you can pay in £500, take out £250 but stay in credit from the ATM then pay it back in again and thus you have paid in £750, (£500 +£250)

The computer will only look at the credits for the month to see if you have funded with the correct amount so no worry about the withdrawal in the middle, you could of course spread it out over the month if you wish, so pay in money at the beginning of the month then work out how much you have paid in and make it up at the end...
just thought I would share with you, don't forget the 2 X Direct Debits are also needed to get the £5 reward.

    Hello Sue

Number 430 checking in with a total of £136. Really pleased with that as it was really just loose change that I haven't missed.

New tin is up and ready to go for next year!

    Many Thanks
  • Hi there.

I opened my sealed pot last night, and was expecting there to be about £160-£175ish to be honest. So I was aghast and amazed and thrilled, when there was over £270 in there!!! £272.13 to be exact. :j:j:j

I was taken aback to say the least! :D

Onwards and upwards to the shops to start the food/booze shopping for Christmas! :p

And I should have at least £100 left over towards presents.

It's been great fun this year, saving all the moneyzzzzzz. :T

Enjoy the rest of your day folks. I am off to the bank soon, to change all the coins into notes, so I can put it all into the bank account.
No debt left now. Saved £111 in our sealed pot last year. And £272.13 this year! Also we have £2300 in savings. :j

    SPC #468 :D Target £250 for 2015.
