I have just logged onto my LLoyds bank account.
It has my name in the top right hand corner as usual, but there is a message in the middle of the screen which says

I am wonder if the site I have logged into is ok, given the "???customer-greeting???" thing. It may just be that something has been overlooked when the message was put onto Lloyds' site, but I am a bit concerned.
Am I worrying unnecessarily??

I had that message when I logged in last night. Updated my mobile number and got a text a few minutes later confirming that I had made changes to my account. I'm sure you'll be fine.
Edit - I didn't get ???customer-greeting??? I got my name. Perhaps try logging in again.0 -
Phew! Thank you0

Hi HurdyGurdy,
I can confirm this is a genuine message, apologies for any confusion caused. It's likely there's been an issue preventing your name appearing correctly. If this happens again, please call our Internet Banking team on 01733 232 030.
Also, if you'd like to check that the details we hold for you are accurate, you can do this by clicking 'Change details' in the top right hand corner.
I hope this helps!

Actually, this raises an interesting problem. The banks are demanding that we all take care when online. We all know that you can end up being re-directed to a spoof site that looks very convincing, but the banks for some reason think it is perfectly ok to keep changing the look and feel of their site. Every time I go to TSB I have to recheck that I am at the correct place because they keep changing the styles. I only log in a few times a month and the last time, they had completely overhauled it and I freaked out because it was completely different to the last time. Just pick a style and stay with it for god's sake or advertise that you are changing it and from what so we dont have a heart attack when we log in and find it completely different to last time.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

But the moans about First Direct and Co-op online banking interfaces having been archaic to view in the recent past suggest continuous improvement of secured banking web sites is important to customers.0
