we recently changed over to Virgin, and have two Sky boxes (plus the remote controls and leads) now gathering dust in the corner.
Are these boxes mine to dispose of? I was going to put them on Freecycle. Am I allowed to do this? Should I remove the viewing card? Does it contain any personal info re. my account that should not be passed on?
Any advice gratefully accepted.
Thank you.

The boxes are yours to with as you please. The viewing cards will contain information about your postcode (so allowing you to view local versions of the BBC etc), but are otherwise of no security concern.0

If anyone is going on holiday to France expats snap up old Sky boxes.
I have sold lots at vide greniers, a car boot sale organised by the village or town once a year. It is good fun and you get to meet real French people whilst making a few €.0
