Returning faulty PS4 game

Can anybody tell what the consumer rights are for returning a faulty PS4 game? A friend bought one from their local superstore but after playing a few times it had a disk not available message and are now no longer able to play it.

Is there any physical damage on the disc such as scratches?

No, no scratches but we've not tried on another PS40

if you take it into the store and claim it's faulty, they will likely test it on a PS4. If you know someone else with one, it would be worth trying it on that to see if it works as if it works on the one in store it will be a wasted trip as they won't refund or replace.All your base are belong to us.0

You need the receipt from where it was bought. Without the receipt, retailers will not be able to refund/exchange as it could be bought from anywhere.

If you just want a replacement they'll just swap it without checking.
If you want a refund they'll be more likely to check to make sure you're not making the fault up to get your money back.0 -
