Lost my case to ParkingEye now having to pay for it

Well it looks like I lost my case against ParkingEye from 2012.
How I lost isn't what I'm bothered about but I'm now ordered to pay £185 to the company.

My question is what now? obviously its a lot of money and I cant afford it all at once especially this time of year.

Can anyone give me advice or tips?

I'm due to pay them by the 3rd of December.

thanks for the help.
rob.

Are you talking about a loss in court? If yes then your only real choices* are:

    1. Pay it and be done with it
    2. Ignore it and get a CCJ that will affect your credit record to years to come

(* Unless others can advise differently?)

The best time to negotiate paying it off in instalments would have been during the court hearing.

You can try contacting parkingeye to see if they would accept instalments and would hold off from enforcing judgment..

Tell us what happened and whether you mentioned that the case they rely upon (PE v Beavis) is unsafe as it's going to the Court of Appeal?

Which court was it and when, we like to see which Courts haven't a clue about the Beavis case (some are aware)?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • It was the county court in Yeovil.

I mentioned about paying it off in small amounts but he simply said I would have to speak to parking eye about that as the court has nothing to do with payment methods. great help I thought.

The letter I got through has said if I dont pay by the 3rd my goods may be taken from me and further costs may be incurred but I'm not looking to get a CCJ against my name. I'd be happy to pay it off in small chunks.

Would also be interested to know if the judge relied on the Beavis case, and if parkingeye informed the judge (or the judge already knew) that Beavis was appealed and the appeal due in Feb 2015.

If not, would be very interested in knowing the name of ParkingEye's LPC Law representative.

  • I was found guilty of trespass rather than parking due to me being on the parking site after hours late at night. Dont think the Beavis case would have came into it at that point.

No you weren't (neither guilty nor trespass). If you want help you're going to need to start making sense.

You didn't think to ask the experts for help in all that time? Really?

That's very interesting because only the landowner can sue for trespass. ParkingEye have no standing to do this. There may be a very good case for appealing this, but it would cost you £155, which you don't have.
