Part of their Black Friday deals.... Any good?

Saw in Metro but didn't show any details. Anyone seen it in the shops?

Not checked the specs but at a guess I'd say it was 512MB RAM and a poor resolution screen compared to higher price tablets. Probably will be slow as anything due to the low RAM and probably ancient processor. Sure someone who knows more will come along soon, but I wouldn't bother with it

    Asda says rrp £149
  • It's just a supermarket cheapie. No one will recommend it and you'll get what you pay for.
  • Just been in asda and saw behind counter. Still £109 but not on website. Side of box says (from memory)
    1.6ghz quad core processor
    2gb ram
    Android 4.4 kitkat
    Mini HDMI slot
    16gb memory
    5mp rear camera
    I think front was a 2mp
No mention of screen resolution and I can't find this info anywhere so far on the web, even on polaroid website. Going to guess its 1280x800.

Good specs but that doesn't mean it will be a great tablet.

Might take a punt at it though as a present for a silver surfer.

Ta for info. I had a Hudl (original that is) and found uninspiring - screen was good though.

Back to the Polaroid - this isn't just a supermarket cheap brand as far as I can tell - as above (thanks) its:-
    Polaroid TAB10.0
    1.6Ghz quad core processor
    android 4.4 kitkat
    2 MP front camera
    5.0MP rear camera
    16 GB internal storage
    **2GB RAM Memory**
    7800 mAh High Battery life.

Of course I haven't got my hands on one but if I can find an ASDA near me (West London) that has them I'll get one and try it.

    Meanwhile - how's about a Hannspree 10 from ASDA direct -

    Hannspree HANNSpad SN1AT71W - 16 GB - 10.1 in. - White

Including discounts its a steal at £53.10 (collect from your nearest ASDA store or delivered for a small fee) - £30 off and then 10% extra - these were about £150 not long ago

    Prepare for disappointment then!
The specs actually look alright, with the exception that we don't know WHICH 1.6GHz quad core processor it is, but the screen could be terrible. I'd take an Asus Memo Pad over this any day...
