123-REG Insecure email Passwords

I have a 123-reg account with email and website.
I became aware over a number of calls to them over the past few days that 123-reg operators can see customers passwords in full!
They say this is only the email account passwords, however, as most people use either the same/similar passwords or password system (for remembering individual passwords), this is surely a concerning situation. Shouldn't the password be secure - like bank accounts, 1st, 5th and 8th letter/number for example?
At no stage does the site advise that the email passwords are in anyway insecure and with over 3.5 million customers is this a wise practice? The 123-reg system also remembers and shows the operator all historic email passwords, allowing for comparison of passwords and evaluation of password systems (if the individual uses them).

Why are you talking about a web hosting company in a credit card forum??0 -
You need to ask this in the correct forum for best advice - This one is specifically for credit card issues, not computer/tecchie stuff.
You confirmed you understood this as part of your signup, so it should be pretty fresh in your memory.0 -

Thats the insecure bit.
If you have a system then you need to reset all your passwords, To something thats not based on any system.
I have so many variations. Always a different length, Always different numbers of characters to numbers, Sometimes i have unique symbols, sometimes i dont.
Im guessing if you used this checker your passwords wont be that secure.
