It seem that Gmail have beefed up their spam filter, and a good thing too, but I was wondering how long it takes to learn what is and isn't spam?
I haven't had a problem for years but recently emails I was expecting didn't arrive.
Confirmation of purchases from eBay and Amazon are the main ones but PayPal receipts arrived OK.
A quick check in my Gmail Spam folder shows they've been blocked. For about three weeks I've been marking these emails as not spam but it doesn't seem to be helping. New purchases from both eBay and Amazon made yesterday and the confirmations, order details and dispatch emails all ended up in the spam folder.
Also other emails from places I regularly use for on-line shopping are being blocked and these are emails that I signed up for to keep me informed of offers and stuff I'm interested in.
How many times do I have to tell Gmail these emails aren't spam before it stops blocking them?

I'm not sure what has gone astray with yours unless you marked one of these as spam. All my eBay, Amazon, and other purchase confirmations end up where they should - in my inbox.
All I can suggest is that you set up a filter for them. One of the options is "never send it to spam".0 -

No, it's odd.
I've been a Gmail user since it launched and never had any issues, in fact I stopped checking the spam folder after a short time as I never found anything in there that shouldn't have been there.
I'm pretty sure I haven't marked anything as spam and certainly not emails from several senders.
Over time I've come to trust the Gmail filter but hey ho, something has altered.
I'll put some filters onOne by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0
