Credit Card application - specifically timing

Options
Hi - am new to the forum

I am looking to take out a 0% purchase rate credit card soon, but am wondering if anybody knows whether I am likely to see a better / worse or neutral credit limit depending on whether I apply before or after Christmas

Does anybody have any knowledge / thoughts on this please?

Comments

  • Are you intending to hammer your credit cards before Xmas or pay off a large chunk?

Xmas itself is unlikely to have any impact, more if you spending habits are going to change because you are buying my a new 65" TV or such
  • Seasonality shouldn't affect credit limits.
  • Thanks for the replies - the intention was not to use them much before Christmas but more for longer term use

Sainsbury's currently have an excellent 0% on purchases offer - don't think I've seen one better for a long time.
Mortgage free for 5 months :T Then got another mortgage:rotfl:
