It's Sad they have closed it down. there has been a comp like this for at least 3 years. Everyone helped Everyone else which I Thought MSE was about ( seems not this year ) ( Best Be Careful they will cancel smileys soon
I have no idea what this Forum is coming to. it used to be Fun. Facebook has this sort of thing all the time and has no Hassle. I would sooner give my Name to someone on here rather than Facebook I don't know what Everyone else thinks.. Don't Bother Wasting your time typing your answers Because they won't Bother to Listen :mad:

The kissmass comp used to be great fun with all the banter, shame they are taking away our fun. A few years of kissmass with no problems should stand for something.

not sure, that was the only thing (other than the list) that i could think they may have taken offense to.

Thats why it would be nice to get some clarification from a mod so that we dont do the same thing again causing them more work.

There was no list year, all the members were doing was repeating the names that had been announced on the radio and having a bit banter

The second a MSE forum member gets mentioned by KISS and that name is published anywhere, that "database" (it can be as simple as a list of names) violates MSE forum rules and that also I suspect includes links to any Facebook page, Twitter account or spreadsheet which holds any names on for the KISSMAS comp.

Either that or Bauer has had a word with MSE and asked them to refrain from posting names because its starting to harm the main reason they're running the comp in the first place - advertising revenue from increased listenership.

Its why I never did it this year, no chance of listening in or getting an alert if my name was mentioned on air.

Can't see it being this as Kiss gave a shout out to us lot on here last year and said what a great job we were doing.

I can't see how they could complain as MSE will be bringing in new listeners who entered the comp. However, if someone saw the thread and thought posting names was off or someone new is running the comp then they could easily change their minds and clamp down on people posting names outside of the radio broadcast.

But as others say, the only people who will know will be the moderators and its at their discretion whether they come forward to tell us or not.

The names are available on several TW and FB sites.

Exchanging personal details breaks forum rules but simply mentioning a name that is in the public domain does not unless it's one of those "do not discuss" topics but that would not be in the CCC section of the forum.
