Cancellation rights question

I just read the T&Cs of a certain satellite broadband provider which I'm trying to cancel.
They say: "You have the right to cancel this Agreement from the point that you place your Order with us up to seven (7) days after the earlier of you receiving the Equipment, your install being completed or your Services being activated. This must be done in writing to our main contact office (the Cancellation Notice)."
I thought the law was 14 days - ??
(I notice they also don't appear to provide a cancellation form as I understand they are required to do - maybe I need to ask for it...)

The Europastat T&Cs do indeed state that seven day term in their definition of the term "cancellation notice":
It looks like they have failed to update that in line with recent legislation changes, but if you were to look at section 11(a) you would see:“Cancellation Notice” is a written instruction from you requesting us to terminate this Agreement and received by us within 7 calendar days of the earlier of you receiving your Equipment, your installation being completed or us activating your Services. Such written instruction should be made in accordance with section 11(a)
Are you perhaps reading a printed document which they somehow might've overlooked?11. RIGHT TO CANCEL
You have the right to cancel this Agreement from the point that you place your Order with us up fourteen days after the earlier of you receiving the Equipment, your install being completed or your Services being activated. This must be done in writing to our main contact office (the Cancellation Notice).
Maybe you could point out their mistake, but whatever happens, you are entitled to that 14 day period (unless other actions waive that right altogether).0 -
It's actually Avonline. The T&Cs were in a PDF attached to the order confirmation.0

OK, but my last sentence above still stands. It's actually Avonline. The T&Cs were in a PDF attached to the order confirmation.
They simply cannot override your statutory rights, and are actually committing an offence by implying that they can.
Their T&Cs are pretty much the same as Europasat's, although a little less correct.0
