Amex card rejection letter

Just recently applied for the amex cash back credit card and I have been rejected due to not having a bigger annual income I wouldnt mind but its not as though i get into debt could it be because I am not risky enough because I always pay things of in full ??

    No, but you probably don't earn enough to be able to spend enough for them to think it's worthwhile to give you the cashback
