However I didn't know that the spread sheet was updated manually by the original poster for each persons updates. I assumed that when each person enters there amount saved, and the system would automatically update the spread sheet.
Wow that's a lot of work but thank you.
Yep - just me inputting the updates so it takes a while :o

Can I join please? I know I am a bit late, but I didn't know about this thread until yesterday, oops.

My plan is for £10,000 this year.

I have already got £182 odd (can't remember precise amount, but it is in my signature) and I am planning on transferring £600 over to my savings tomorrow as I like to do things on a month by month basis. That's how much I should have left in my bank. This means that I have £36.99 for tomorrow and I am going out in the evening. But the restaurant is bring your own drink (which is where most of the bill goes), so should be okay.

Been MIA on this thread as the year kicked off scheduling an unplanned holiday and I really struggled to see if I could achieve target. I also wanted to start the year with a clear plate so paid back the £3000 I had borrowed from my Mum to cover some costs of moving.

But I have managed to save my target of £1000 - it would be more but have just realised that the CT hasn't taken their DD this month so will leave the excess I have at the moment to cover the double in Feb.

I managed to save £761 this month, putting me on track for my target! A few specific Jan expenses (renewals etc), so hopefully I can squirrel away a bit more next month...fingers crossed.
Thanks for running the thread, I'm finding it really motivating :)

I can't keep up with the play and read all comments, so hope everyone is doing well. Just put my first score on the door for the year - it's been a loooong month.

It's been a loooong month but I have surprised myself by saving £474. This was helped by cutting down on food expenses, selling a few bits and being really frugal with the budget.

We are in the process of decorating the whole house and I am using the money I have saved in the previous 2 years to fund this, so I am very grateful to slowly fading for running this challenge :T

I haven't caught up with the thread as I have been busy clearing out the house (come and join us on the Konmarie thread on OS money saving :D), but I will make the effort over the weekend. I hope everyone is well.

    Off to update the spreadsheet
