    Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone has had a good month? I haven't had chance yet to catch up with everyone's progress - but I'm planning a bit of reading over the weekend to read through the thread!

So this month I have managed to save £500, not the start I was hoping for, but I have some money coming in from this month which I will count next month - so I'm hoping it will even itself out over the next couple of months!

I would love to do the full £12k this year... so my bedtime reading this month is going to the MSE forums.... lots of inspiration and support in saving money!

    Good luck everyone!

  • Well unfortunately we have had some bad news this week - my DH has lost his job :(. Luckily we already have a savings net but I'm not sure how this will affect my savings goal in the short term. I am not making any changes yet though.

Final amount for January £650 :D

    Congratulations SF, that's great news.

Have managed to save £495 this month, but unfortunately realised I set my initial target wrong and I need to save £7,940. Have done the update form.

Hope you're all doing well :D

    January closed with £1280.

Will delay the company pension until April (simply because there'll be a second scheme through auto-enrolment and I need to wait on the details to work out which is better for me) so will have a bit more to save than expected until then. No Council tax anymore either until 1st April so £120 more there per month.

Bad news is no pay rise yet - my manager had spoken too early so hoping for later this year now. Was unlucky as I was still in my probation - just - when everyone got 3%, apart from those on probation :-\
