Another £300 today, taking the month's total to £900. Potential for a small amount (Sub £30) next week so i'll save the update til then.

Hope everyone is having a good month! :)

Do you believe in fate? I never did prior to the last couple of days...

When i lost my job i had a call from my FD to tell me... but just prior a recruitment company called me and i had to tell them 'i had to go because my FD is calling'... after the meeting where i got let go... i called them back about that job... had an interview 36 hours later, a second interview 4 days after that and a third interview a couple of days later... i now have that job!

Congrats, i knew it would take 2sec for you to get something. Commercially minded finance people are a fairly rare commodity.

  • Hi
I know it's a little late to join. I'm a newbie to the forum (joined this week!). After paying off the last of my debts I now want to start building up some serious savings and this board will help with keeping me motivated.

My goal for the year is £2,000.

    Thanks

Just looking at the spreadsheet that we have all saved.

What are all the different colours for in the % overpaid? Also why are the columns called overpaid? I haven't ovrepaid. This is what I have saved.

Of course, this doesn't affect me in any way. I'm just being nosey.
I don't know why I put overpaid so have changed it to saved :) the colours changed depending on the % saved - you're aiming for green at the end ;)

I think polly--the total amount is divided by 12 months

so if you over pay its yellow

red just means you haven't over paid

I think once target is reached your green

why its in over paid column--your guess is as good as mine
Kind of; the % are part of your target. If you reach 25% it changes to orange. 45% is yellow and over 70% is green.

Spreadsheet and front page updated :)

Can I ask that, for the purposes of updating the spreadsheet, can everyone just do a total number for the month? It's a bit frustrating when there are multiple updates from members adding bits and pieces onto the form. By all means, do that in the thread :) but when doing your final number for the month, I just need the total :)

    Thank you!
