Hubby isn't well, he was up four times with the runs in the night and has been Ill as well today, but at work.
He is in the lounge, in the dark, wrapped up to keep warm watching tv. I said to him about an hour ago that Apprentice was on at 9 for me watch it but to watch anything he liked before then, and I went in shower.
I've just gone in to see if he wants anything, drink etc but he said no. I said right well I'm off to bed to watch tv in there, we have it set up so whatever is on the main tv is in our bedroom.
Hubby took a right mood saying so your not even going to watch it in the same room . I said I don't want to catch what he has and he doesn't need anything so I'm watching it in bed -which I do every Wednesday anyway.
He said other people would find that not very nice and perhaps I should see other people's opinions.
I'd that so bad? Hubby never watches tv, ever. He might spend half an hour a week in the lounge so just doesn't watch tv. I do watch it from 9 in bed and tend to fall asleep to it. last night when he was ill he had the footy on, no problem, I just read in bed. But I don't want to sit in a roomwith him whilst he had the runs . Is that bad? I'm not sure it can be caught, but don't really want to risk it.

tell him to stop being a moany git. Who wants to be in the same room as someone that is ill?Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0

To be honest, sitting in the lounge with him is one of the least likely situations by which you could catch whatever he has - sharing a bathroom or kitchen is far more likely!
Maybe he's just feeling a little down in the dumps, and fancies some company? Doesn't sound like he's being 'ill' any more, but is feeling weak and sorry for himself.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

He's not moaning as such, just was really shocked I'd asked to watch a program - which he knows I watch every week in bed - and wouldn't watch it with him .
He is poorly, and to be fair, never gets ill, he was up a lot last night, and still had the runs today, so might be tired.
He just snapped he couldn't believe I wouldn't even sit on the other sofa to watch it and that others would think I was in the wrong . I really don't want to get ill, I normally catch anything going so am surprised I've lasted this long really.....
He doors still have the runs bless, I had to clear it that I could have a shower and he wouldn't need the loo....Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

True. I popped to loo last night to a bowl of.... Urm..... Well you can guess. I mentioned it this morning and he said he didn't want to flush so as not to wake me. I guess his heart was in the right place.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
If I get a sickness/ runs thing, I go to the spare room to sleep etc, and OH will make me a drink for when I can keep it down but otherwise steers well clear0

It sounds like your OH wants you to keep him company and watch TV together, even if on separate sofas. He could have just said that though, instead of implying that you're weird or somehow wrong by wanting to go watch the TV in your bedroom, where you usually watch that programme anyway.
The moment has probably passed, in that neither of you would particuarly enjoy being the same room together right now watching The Apprentice, but I think its just a silly misunderstanding.0 -

Your right, I'm snuggled in bed watching it. Bless he isn't settled downstairs tho as he's been to the loo again.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
awww - he isn't well and wants your company and sympathy? you are sticking to your routine and he feels rejected?
but shouldn't HE be the one in bed? sounds like a nasty tummy bug and the poor sod has taken it to work - he should self cert and have at least 24 hours off. (I say that because its in my OHs contract that any Stomach upset means they have to have 24 hours off work after they are better- public health and safety as he works for a Water Utility)0 -
Feel sorry for his poor colleagues now he's spread that all round the workplace.0

He just wants some love, don't we all when we are ill?
Funny but I don't even think of me catching something when someone else in the family is ill. In fact,I struggle to sleep til they're better.Never again will the wolf get so close to my door :eek:0
