MSE News: Up to 1.5 million prepaid gas customers overcharged

From what get I gather it is a tiny amount every time you top up. Its from 2007 and people seem to be getting very varied amounts. I have had £4. Which I know is not enough, so I will email BG and also contact the ombudsman for gas and find out how exactly it is worked out. It is not clear, and I can understand you want to know the exact percentage in relation to your gas usage. Common sense I would say. Ask BG in writing to tell you? seems a good place to start? Good luck (you will need it)
Remember when you judge someone, it does not define them ... You define yourself :j0 -

I got a letter today (£18)
Says its overcharging 1.9% per top up and they have based the cash refund on KWH used. (also added anticipated future loss between now n meter being fixed)0 -
I asked about this overcharging on the forum last week and arrived at the conclusion that as my son had only lived at his house for a few years, it probably wouldnt be worth pursuing it. But today, without contacting the supplier, a refund cheque for £40 arrived.0
