If you have tried several brands of NP and they all chip, it may be your chemistry that is the problem, lots of people find that there is a certain brand that does not suit them, but is fine for others, but is none of them work it probably is not the polish at fault.
Do you make sure that your nails are totally grease free? do you always use the same base coat? if you do, it may be that changing your BC solves the problem. I have a couple of nails which always chip because they layer at the tip, although I use a crystal file which helps this, sometimes the nail is not long enough to lightly buff and file the layers away and then there is not a good surface for the polish to adhere well too, other thing is do you use a top coat, bit of a faff having to do 4 or 5 layers, but does help me.:D
Hope you find the answer:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
I have just started using Revlon gel nail polish, applies like a normal polish and I have used Sally Hansen insta dri as a top coat and got seven days from it, very impressed.
Another trick is to re-apply top coat every day to stop chipping.0 -
I use superdrug nail varnish, a quid a bottle and its always been fine.0

I dont use a base coat or a top coat, never had any problems.0

Am the same as you opi, leighton denny etc all chip on me even with a base, and top coat and prepping the nails. The best i've found is the Barry M Gel vanish its like £3 but always seems to have some sort of offer. Colours are beautiful and the finish and I find I get a good weeks worth out of them.0

I have exactly the same problem, even if I use base and top coats I find that it chips within a day.
The only things I've found which last longer than a day or two are Barry M and Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure.0 -
I've got soft nails and find that varnish tends to chip easily on me.
I've tried a few different brands, i find the best base and top coats for me personally are sally hansen. if your using a base and top coat that work for you then in my experience you can use a cheaper polish without too much trouble.
The Jess range of nail varnish from poundland I have found to be quite good, it can have a bit of a funky smell sometimes but there are some lovely colours and I have found that it lasts well and doesnt chip.
I would try a few different top coats, and see if you can find one that works for you. I would recommend sally hansen diamond flash as a top coat, but different brands work differently for different people according to our body chemistry, so what works for me may not necessarily work for others
Jobo xxI'm usually using a phone, so excuse my spelling please!0
