Vodafone Data Test Drive

Just received a message from VF letting me know I'm more or less occurred a lengthy bill while on holiday. Believed this was wrong as I had VF euro traveler and the unlimited data pack which I had unlimited data to use over my plan. Usual text when on holiday confirming I had Euro traveler and could use what was on my plan.
Not KNOWING that this did not include using the Vodafone Data test (unlimited internet) therefore used my basic packaged and everything over that charged me -£500+ gutted.
I called them and explained there were no restrictions mentioned on the text but investigating now it is in their t & c. Just wish they'ed mention that in their texts. I'm in despair how I'm going to pay this.

Did you ever get this resolved Sharon? I have just had the same thing happen to me and I'm devastated. Like you I got the txt when I landaed saying I could use my Euro Traveller and I recieved no texts or calls to inform me of my spending. Would be so grateful for any advice.

I'm also upset just got back from hols didn't realise the data test bundle wasn't to be used abroad as the store I bought my contract from stated it would be good for me to use whilst I was away - am usually so careful and my bills are rarely over £15 - also no warning text as my husband and I both got our contracts the same day we both have large bills no idea how to pay these

You would both be better off starting new threads yourselves. The OP hasn't logged in for months.

It is Vodafone, and as you are at the start of your contract I doubt they will do anything to help you. It does state in the terms that the data test drive doesn't include roaming, so unless you have concrete proof that you have been told otherwise Vodafone will do nothing to help.

Only 264 days until u can leave them!

Always keep your eye on Vodafone bills. They just love to let you carry on, especially, in my experience, with data then bung a big bill at you. In the end I set my own 'Data Usage' warning at half the tariff amount so they couldn't stiff me. :cool:
