Virgin BB & Wireless

Hi,

I recently installed Virgin Broadband.

Now I have 2 PC's at home and I would like to be wirelesly connected to Virgin.

How can I do this?

You need to buy a wireless router and either wireless PCI cards for the PC's or wireless USB adapters. Note that the router must NOT be an ADSL one as that is a modem for BT lines, you need a wireless router that is designed to be used on cable of which there are loads! I'm not sure if Virgin themselves do a wireless router, might be worth phoning and asking.

Rubbish information you may have virgin BB through a BT line which means you require a ADSL router

However if you have Virgin through cable then yes you will need a cable router

My apologies for the confusion. If indeed you are using Virgin Broadband through a cable connection then my information is valid and correct. If it is through a BT line then you will need an ADSL router. Thanks for your very useful input lee634, very helpful.
