Any thoughts on this laptop from ebuyer (I would post the link but I'm not allowed to as I'm a new user)
Lenovo Essential B50-70 Laptop
Intel Core i3-4030U 1.9GHz
4GB RAM + 500GB HDD
15.6" LED + DVD Writer
Webcam + Bluetooth
Windows 8.1 64
Its £299 with a £50 cash back to make it £250, for an i3 seems to be good value to me.
It's for my student daughters. I will install MS Office on it so they will be using this, internet browsing, catch-up TV, spotify etc.
They aren't into gaming.
I know that I can get cheaper if I go with a lower processor but I'd like to think that this will do them for 3 years or more by which time they will be responsible for getting their next one.
Thanks,

Someone complained recently that theirs was horribly slow.

It appears a good idea to remove or at least disable the Lenovo bundled programs from starting up with Windows. Another poster(#10) suggests that they are good once that is done.0
