Missing part of a order - Amazon

Hi, Back in September i purchase a Limited Edition version of Destiny. Within this pack was meant to be three codes.

Two where additional content and one was a season pass for the (yet to be released) digital downloaded content (DLC) - worth £35 on its own.

However the DLC code was missing, which I have only just picked up on.

I have contact Amazon UK and they say I need to talk with the games publishers, I have stated that I don't think I have to ref: I purchase the content from them and its there for there responsibility to supply the goods as describe.

But its getting me no where. I've tried to contact the game publishers, but they simply say: contact the reseller of the game.

Help, is there anything I can do, other then take Amazon to a small claims court?

First question: did you actually by from Amazon themselves, or from a martketplace seller? Whichever it is, it's the actual seller you need to pursue.

Assuming it is Amazon, you say it's for content that is not yet releases, so is the season pass actually available yet? Is it possible that it might turn up when the DLC is released?

If you know that the pass is available then you might be able to use the Chargeback route (if you paid by card and the cost was less than £100, if it was over £100 and you used a credit card then a Section 75 claim might be possible). Otherwise, your route would be complaint to Amazon, followed by Letter Before Action, followed by Small Claim through Money Claim Online.
  • Hi Agrinnall,

To confirm: Yes, the seller was Amazon. The content is not yet available, but the code to download the content was / is available and should have been included in the package as was describe for the product before purchasing.

I have complained to Amazon, I'm trying to continue my complaint as the game publishers want nothing to do with it (not surprising really). If that falls then I will try a chargeback as you say (its was less then £100).

    Thanks
