Router Advice Please !

I Have the 10 Meg internet supplied by Virgin Media which up until last week didn't give me any problems.We have a ZYXEL Prestige 300 seris wired router so that we can all go on the internet at same time.Just recentley if more than one of us sign into msn at the same time it seems to boot everyone and flashes up that the netwrok connection has been lost,although after 3 or 4 attemps we all are ok to use msn at the same time,it's just very annoying ( this also happens if my son uses a site called Beebo or Myspace etc etc) .I have wired the main pc in direct to the modem and it seem to give no problems at all but obviously no one else can use thiere pc's at the same time.So my questions are.

1 how do I test to make sure im getting the correct speed

2 does it sound as though it is the router thats stopping us all being connected at the same time without this glitch

3 Is the router ive got a good make/model as I know nothing about them if it is bad what one would you recommend I get to replace this one.

Sorry to ask so many question but with the school hols this is starting to get annoying as the weather isn't the best so kids using pc's even more.

Well fingers crossed I have done what you suggested and downloaded the Firmware for the router and 3 of us are now all on msn and various sites and no one has been booted as of yet :beer: .

What exactly is it that I have just done ?
Have I just in effect updated like the drivers for my router?

Yes, it's a bit like updating drivers, except that firmware resides on a chip inside the router and you have reprogrammed that chip.
