It's been a lot colder over the last few days, so he's now wearing his thick fleece cardi, and I've put all my t shirts away and dug the jumpers out.
Why not keep your T-shirts out to wear as an extra layer?
Good idea.  That is what I do in winter!  I don't have many vest tops though so they are on the list this year.
I find that keeping my shoulders warm is a big help!

One of my winter preps (or anytime preps) has been checking out yellow sticker veg and dehydrating it, storing in jars and using in soup.

Managed to get some cheap celery today and mushrooms yesterday so they will all get dehydrated this weekend.

Busy weekend coming up but hope to complete some of the items on the list in my sig.

That makes sense, @joedenise. His NI final letter comes before mine, so I should get my confirmation letter soon. 😊 every bit helps! I'm hankering after a Jackery to power a heated blanket if it gets really cold, or if we have power cuts.

@Laura_Elsewhere, I use shawls too! I have some of varying thickness that are handy to keep my neck and shoulders warm,  and then I have some huge wrap things, like a big square but with a slit towards the middle so you can wrap it around your shoulders, but leave your hands free!

I have a couple of heat pads that can be powered by USB, which means I can use normal phone banks to power them, if that helps. My last small heat pad/belt came from BnM ,

I wear a thin wool jumper as an insulating layer. TK Maxx have pure merino wool jumpers often cheaper than merino base layers. Men’s ones have longer bodies and sleeves.

I'll have a look for some next time I'm near TKMaxx, @Nelliegrace. Thanks for the info!

I will layer up if it gets too cold, but I'm not comfortable with a t-shirt under a jumper, I'd rather have a gilet over the jumper.
Im a huge fan of layering. Thermal vests and long sleeved tops are on my christmas list this year!
I usually wear a thermal vest, long sleeved top then dress/jumper/etc and cardie over that. I also have a zip up faux Oodie I bought from Primark one year which is great as its easy to throw off and on.

Also here's a (weird) tip for you. Incontinence pads! :D I have realiesed that Im never cold in bed over winter and after getting almost sweaty last night despite only being covered in a fleece blanket Ive realiesed this is probably why.
Maybe I should be thanking the dogs. First a 14 yr old on water tablets and now a 16 yr old with dementia who has the odd accident.
