The price not in sales is usually something fierce so I'll go to the outlet sale and see what I can find.
Mountain warehouse have a clearance online at the moment. Just had a look and they've got quite a few different ski socks reduced. Might be worth a look.0 -

Last time I did was around 1954, my late Mum (also a weegie) taught me how to knit in 1947, and one of our seemingly never ending tasks was knitting sock for my two horny-hooved brothers They seemed to go through socks at an alarming rate. I love knitting but the idea of knitting a pair of socks is just a no-no to me I think I would rather eat my own liver to be honest :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I managed to knit a pair of socks when I was in primary school. Using four needles was a nightmare. One sock turned out larger than the other. I was just awful at hand knitting!0 -
I had knitted 3/4 of a warm thick snug cardigan when the really hot weather started so it's been sitting aside for weeks and weeks - but now I'm back knitting on that second sleeve!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Starting to get dark early up here now... this is when I get the urge to knit lol
Sorry meant to say ty muffin man I will try the bubble wrap on the cistern, but I like to open the windows to let the steam out so will leave them.
Hi mar u can still open your windows because the bubble wrap goes on the glass not the frame just a tiny mist of water and it stays in place ht h

That is so helpful to know because I plan to bubblewrap my greenhouse in the late autumn, and I will be able to use that method on the opening windows which are on automatic openers. Even in winter the heat can build up to the extent that they will open. Fingers crossed, anyway!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Living proof my greenhouse has grooves in the metal. I have green clips that slide and twist in the groove. At the moment they are supporting shading cloth but that is soon to be replaced with bubble wrap. When I bubble wrapped my windows in the house they stuck in place just by dampening the glass. I don't think that method of adhesion will be suffice in the greenhouse, specifically not the angled roof. Round my window, to enable it to open, I intend to use clear greenhouse repair tape to help that particular square stick. HTH0
