Wonga loan removed from Credit File

Hi all,
I defaulted on a Wonga Loan and then had the fortune to be one of the customers whose loan was written off.
I just checked my credit file this morning and the default has disappeared - interested to know if this has happened to anyone else?

Hi NorSharPei,
Yes, if you are one of those that have been contacted by Wonga regarding their default, then there is further good news in that Wonga have also agreed to remove the record of the default from credit reports.
The record will be automatically removed, so you don't need to request it either.
Our Ask James blog goes into it in more detail here.
Kind Regards

That's fantastic!
Was the default registered by Wonga or a collection agency?0 -
"Firstly, it’s essential that credit reports represent an accurate record of someone’s credit commitments."
- James Jones on the above link.
If that's the case then surely completely removing the account is contrary to what he says there. The fact is the person has been paying off or at least has owed Wonga. Removing it doesn't show an accurate record at all.
I'm not saying whether or not its wrong to remove it, just that its contrary to what James says above. What will your verse be?
