Can I keep my virgin email address?

Moving house next year and will be cancelling my virgin services. Will I be able to keep my virgin email address or will this leave with my services? Not the end of the world if it does go, I just need to try to remember to update everything as when I access it!

No it will go in about a month after you cease services despite an e-mail you may receive stating three months.

For future get a non ISP related e-mail address then the issue won't reoccur if you change ISP's again.

Yes - this is what I have done, and am now spending my time trying to remember where I need to update my contact details! Lesson learnt!

If you have chosen a gmail account, you can set it up to download mail from other email providers.

Do this for your Virgin account and you will see mail coming in to the old account for as long as it stays active and be able to deal with it.


My Gmail checks ISP mailboxes that are disused and years old, they mostly get spam these days but it can be useful to keep access to them going in case you need them for a password reset or similar.
