DSLRs don't use much battery compared to mirrorless, unless you're using live view or reviewing lots of images, so you'll find having easy access to additional batteries isn't that important. By all means buy a 3rd party spare battery back (maybe £15) but I wouldn't go any further than that; you'll rarely need it.
I'd agree with that I have a spare battery for my DSLR but very rarely have to use it.
Another thing regarding mirror less cameras I personally wouldnt be without an optical viewfinder.0 -

No problem with Nikon plastic lens mounts. They fact they break probably saved my camera during the summer. It fell on the lens which sheared off at the lens mount.
A youtube video, £6 on Amazon for a new mount and 20 minutes time and I had fitted a new one. Lens is now working again. Cheaper than £200 for a new lens.
OP.
I had an e-mail from mpb today. A nikon d200 is now £150 or so, d300 less than £300. When launched these were both £1,000+ bodies. Semi pro with metal body which stands up to the knocks.0 -
Who are MPB please?0
